Pressure Mapper

Early identification of pressure ‘hot spots’ in patients is crucial for both their comfort and overall wellbeing.

Preventing pressure injuries not only improves patient outcomes but also helps reduce healthcare costs. To support this, The Care Foundation has recently funded the purchase of a Pressure Mapper for the Region.

In the past, detecting a patient’s pressure points relied on time-consuming, low-tech methods, and a Pressure Mapper was only hired in extreme cases due to the expense. Now, with a Pressure Mapper readily available, clinicians can quickly and accurately identify areas where pressure relief is needed. This allows for optimised seating, bedding, and cushioning solutions, significantly improving patient care both in hospitals and at home.
