The Care Foundation provides funding across Nelson Marlborough and Tasman for projects that directly benefit the health of people in our Region, whether through our hospitals or through community health services.

Apply for funding

If you are a health-related not-for-profit organisation and are interested in applying for funding, please complete this form and we will be in touch to discuss your application further and to provide you with our application form.

The Care Foundation Board meets regularly to consider applications. You will need to have met our funding criteria “to enable the best possible healthcare in our Region” and if successful you will need to provide proof of purchase documentation and a report or analysis of the impact the funds have made.

The Care Foundation generally will not fund: Areas seen to be the responsibility of central/local Government or other funders; Individuals; Core operational or administration expenses including salaries; Projects or parts of projects that have already been completed; Registration fees or travel; Infrastructure; Vehicles; Secondhand equipment or Multi-year funding.
