Haemodialysis Unit Equipment

At the end of 2022 a new purpose-built Haemodialysis Unit opened at Nelson Hospital servicing patients in the Top of the South.   

The Care Foundation funded one of the eight specialist chairs and also provided television screens and headphones for each chair.  With patients spending between 4-6 hours in the therapy chairs each visit, this individualised entertainment provides a welcome distraction for patients while they receive treatment.
