Wellby

Feeling that we belong and are socially connected is vital to our health and wellbeing.

That’s why The Care Foundation chose to support Wellby, a community-led initiative helping the people of Nelson and Tasman to better connect with their communities and improve their wellbeing. Wellby connects people in three ways: through hosted Talking Cafes which provide a welcoming and accessible environment for people to connect with others; by promoting the online Found Directory which contains listings for community groups, clubs and services; and by training people to become “Signposters” who help others find the information they need to enhance their supportive networks.
