Scholarships are open to all staff who work for or are contracted by Te Whatu Ora Nelson Marlborough for a minimum of 20 hours per week and provides successful applicants with up to 50% of their study fees.  To date there have been more than 35 Scholarship recipients in both clinical and non-clinical roles from across Te Whatu Ora Nelson Marlborough, Allied Health and supporting functions, including MedLab.

The Scholarship Fund contributes to the retention of healthcare workers in the Top of the South by providing opportunities for them to upskill and advance, bringing more specialist knowledge to their roles and ultimately improving patient care.
